This is Year Two of a two year daily devotional. A fully updated and unabridged edition of Spurgeon's 600,000 word classic, originally titled The Interpreter, and replacing the King James Version with the English Standard Version. Great care has been taken to retain Spurgeon's views and illustrations while replacing 19th century British English with 21st century American English. Selections for Year One are mainly from Genesis through Second Kings while this volume, Year Two, has passages mainly from the Old Testament Prophetic Books and the New Testament. Psalms are interspersed among both years.
