Treasure Chest(erton): Forgotten Gems from the Prince of Paradox
"If life begins by taking things for granted, poetry answers by taking things away. It may be that this is indeed the whole meaning of death; that heaven, knowing how we tire of our toys, forces us to hold this life on a frail and romantic tenure."

G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936) was many things during his career: poet, novelist, literary critic, detective story writer, theologian, editor, and broadcaster, among many others. But he was first and foremost a journalist by calling, writing thousands of articles for various papers. Many of these articles have fallen into oblivion in the century or so since their publication, as to be expected given their very nature. Nevertheless, any material written by GKC contains many valuable insights worth preserving. This volume includes a selection of eight of his more obscure articles, along with a section of various quotes from others, containing much of interest for both devoted Chestertonians and newcomers to the writings of "the Prince of Paradox."
