13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

A pasło się tam na górze stada wielu wieprzów. I prosili go, by im dozwolił wejść w nie. I zezwolił im. Wyszły tedy duchy nieczyste z człowieka i weszły w wieprze. A stado pędem z urwistego brzegu wpadło do morza i potonęło.

God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’b As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.

5:1 Now let me sing to my Well-beloved     A song of my Beloved regarding His vineyard:     My Well-beloved has a vineyard     On a very fruitful hill. 2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones,     And planted it with the choicest vine.     He built a tower in its midst,     And also made a winepress in it;     So He expected it to bring forth good grapes,     But it brought forth wild grapes.

This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD. 6I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.’

So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.
