Now by the grace of God I preach Salvation by Grace through Faith alone, not of works (James 2 is not for salvation). Also, I preach once saved always saved, you cannot lose your salvation (Ephesians 4:30), otherwise again your belief would be then about works and maintenance of salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9/Titus 3:5/Galatians 2:16) and that is against the Word of God (Galatians 1:8-9)

In the theological world, Dr. Albert Mohler warned evangelicals about the ‘temptation’ of Roman Catholicism at the 2021 Presidential address to the Evangelical Theological Society. It is important to understand what is happening and how to respond biblically.

Some Protestants feel that their tradition lacks depth, whether that be with the way a tradition practices the Lord’s Supper (or how little they practice it) or when it comes to engaging culture and the arts. The sacramental system and physical aspects of Catholic worship, such as the consecrated host (bread) and beautiful cathedrals, provide a tangible sense of connection to God. Many forms of Protestantism seem to have a disenchanted view of the world, separating symbols from reality. Roman Catholicism, on the other hand, holds up its rich sacramental tapestry and historical engagement with the arts."

Leonardo De Chirico is the pastor of Breccia di Roma, a church that he helped plant in Rome in 2009, and Chair of the Theological Commission of the Italian Evangelical Alliance. Previously, Leonardo planted and pastored an evangelical church in Ferrara, Italy from 1997 to 2009. He earned degrees in history (University of Bologna), theology (ETCW, Bridgend, Wales) and bioethics (University of Padova). His PhD is from King's College (London); it was published as Evangelical Theological Perspectives on Post-Vatican II Roman Catholicism. His recent books are A Christian Pocket Guide to Papacy (Christian Focus, 2015); A Christian Pocket Guide to Mary (Christian Focus, 2017), Same Words, Different Worlds. Do Roman Catholics and evangelicals believe the same gospel? (IVP, 2021), Engaging with Thomas Aquinas. An evangelical approach (IVP, 2024), and Tell Your Catholic Friend. How to have Gospel conversations with love (B&H, 2025). He is a lecturer of historical theology at Istituto di Formazione Evangelica e Documentazione in Padova, Italy. God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continual emphasis on prayer, from the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting that is attended by thousands to the Prayer Band, members of the Church devoted to boldly "calling on the Lord" for needs from around the world.

I think for us today here and now the biggest danger for the people of God is not that we would purposely reject God but we would forget God that we would treat God like an add-on to our lives instead of the Lord of our lives. That we would pick up the cross when it's convenient. That we would find ways around to get out of the things that we don't want and then add on the things that we do want. To only come to God when we're in need or when we're in trouble but forget him when we've got the blessing. I just think the greatest danger for us is not that we would wanna purposely reject him but that we could forget him and friend what is God calling you to remember today.
