Drift doesn’t happen because of storms; it happens because of neglect. 
Communication is the rope that keeps your hearts tied together. 
 
This message is an exposition of the fact that Communication is the biggest problem in marriages. Proverbs 18:21: When communication breaks down, every other issue becomes harder to solve. Ephesians 4:26-27; Healthy communication is less about technique and more about the heart behind the words. Luke 6:45. When you control what comes out of your mouth to align with the Spirit of God, you are doing Marriage the Godly way.

Last week we found Jesus alone at the well of Sychar with a Samaritan woman who was guilty of the sin of adultery. In that exchange the Lord effectively used the Law and the Gospel to lay this woman’s sin of adultery before her, which caused her to recognize her sins and be sorry for them.

It reminds us of the power of our God-given agency to make choices. It is amazing to have freedom of choice, but with that freedom comes tremendous responsibility. We must think consequentially. Our present human condition is the direct consequence of Adam and Eve’s decisions. Unfortunately, sin has dire and severe consequences.
