In 1983, he became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio.  He has written several books and is heard daily and weekly on the radio program, Truth For Life.  The teaching on Truth For Life stems from the week by week Bible teaching at Parkside Church.

After Gideon’s victory over the Midianites, the battle wasn’t truly finished—he and his men were exhausted but still pursuing the enemy. In Judges 8:1–21 we see five different kinds of people in the aftermath of victory, reminding us that believers must stay humble, committed, and spiritually alert even when we are tired.
