All change requires adjustment and adaptation, but for Muslims who convert to Christianity, the journey comes with significant sacrifices and challenges. What are the unique struggles they face? And how can other believers provide meaningful support? This session explores these questions through key research findings based on questionnaires and interviews with Muslim-background Christians, offering insights into their experiences and practical ways to walk alongside them in their faith journey.

Emil Shehadeh was born in Israel and educated mainly in the UK, achieving BSc Hons (Medical Biology), MSc (Biochemistry), MB ChB (Medicine), and a Diploma in Dermatology and MRCGP. Growing up in Israel, he accompanied his parents all over Galilee, spreading the Gospel amongst all communities including Muslims. He also worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship and OM. In the early 1990s, he co-founded an Arabic Church in Cardiff, S Wales. He practiced as a GP (Family Physician and a trainer) until 2016. Upon retirement, he dedicated his time to writing and speaking on the subject of Islam and evangelising Muslims. He supports evangelistic work amongst Muslims in North Africa and Nigeria. Emil has a PhD in Islamic Studies from Logos University and is engaged in another piece of research on the Causes and Consequences of Muslim Conversions to Christianity. He believes that the expansion of the Kingdom of God must be the chief concern of the people of God.

Adrian Reynolds is Associate National Director for the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) in the UK. The FIEC is a network of over 630 churches. Adrian has specific responsibility for developing new and existing leaders within the network and takes the lead in the provision of content. He also serves as one of the pastors of Christchurch Harborough with responsibility for worship. He has written over 12 books, including Bible commentaries and books on marriage and leadership development. He previously served as one of the leaders of The Proclamation Trust and as a local church pastor. Before entering Christian ministry, he had a 10-year career in business leadership. Adrian is married to Celia, who serves as a women’s worker in their local church. They have three daughters and five grandchildren. 
 
Jen Charteris, originally from South Africa, is the executive director of Crosslands, which provides in-context theological training from Foundation to PhD level across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Previously she spent over 25 years working in strategic change, organisational consulting, and board and leadership development. She has been a senior advisor on major change programmes in government, defence, infrastructure, and financial services, taught on various MBA programmes and at the UK Military’s Defence Academy, worked internationally with the leaders of Christian ministry organisations, and has many years of board experience. She is married to Hugo, a church pastor and planter in the north of England, and they have two adult children.

Peter Mead is the director of Cor Deo, a ministry training programme in Chippenham, England. He is also part of the leadership team of Trinity Chippenham, a church Peter helped to plant back in 2014. Galatians vs. Corinthians on Legalism | Derek Prince

God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord not only to preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow out of the congregation across New York, as well as domestically and internationally. Sermons and Bible teaching from Alistair Begg. Alistair has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. Following graduation from The London School of Theology, he served eight years in Scotland at both Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church. 

In 1983, he became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio.  He has written several books and is heard daily and weekly on the radio program, Truth For Life.  The teaching on Truth For Life stems from the week by week Bible teaching at Parkside Church.

He and his wife, Susan, were married in 1975 and they have three grown children.

Praying God’s Promises – Daily Devotional

The first six verses of Psalm 139 convey the staggering truth that the Lord knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we do, where we go, what we think, what we say, all that we long for, and all that we need. Alistair Begg reminds us that there’s no safer place to put our trust than in Almighty God, who doesn’t love from a distance but searches us and knows us, sending His Son to lay down His life for us in order that we may also know Him.
