I have a master's degree in pastoral counseling from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

What challenges do Muslims face after converting to Christ? - Emil Shehadeh

All change requires adjustment and adaptation, but for Muslims who convert to Christianity, the journey comes with significant sacrifices and challenges. What are the unique struggles they face? And how can other believers provide meaningful support? This session explores these questions through key research findings based on questionnaires and interviews with Muslim-background Christians, offering insights into their experiences and practical ways to walk alongside them in their faith journey.

Emil Shehadeh was born in Israel and educated mainly in the UK, achieving BSc Hons (Medical Biology), MSc (Biochemistry), MB ChB (Medicine), and a Diploma in Dermatology and MRCGP. Growing up in Israel, he accompanied his parents all over Galilee, spreading the Gospel amongst all communities including Muslims. He also worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship and OM. In the early 1990s, he co-founded an Arabic Church in Cardiff, S Wales. He practiced as a GP (Family Physician and a trainer) until 2016. Upon retirement, he dedicated his time to writing and speaking on the subject of Islam and evangelising Muslims. He supports evangelistic work amongst Muslims in North Africa and Nigeria. Emil has a PhD in Islamic Studies from Logos University and is engaged in another piece of research on the Causes and Consequences of Muslim Conversions to Christianity. He believes that the expansion of the Kingdom of God must be the chief concern of the people of God.

Adrian Reynolds is Associate National Director for the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) in the UK. The FIEC is a network of over 630 churches. Adrian has specific responsibility for developing new and existing leaders within the network and takes the lead in the provision of content. He also serves as one of the pastors of Christchurch Harborough with responsibility for worship. He has written over 12 books, including Bible commentaries and books on marriage and leadership development. He previously served as one of the leaders of The Proclamation Trust and as a local church pastor. Before entering Christian ministry, he had a 10-year career in business leadership. Adrian is married to Celia, who serves as a women’s worker in their local church. They have three daughters and five grandchildren. 
 
Jen Charteris, originally from South Africa, is the executive director of Crosslands, which provides in-context theological training from Foundation to PhD level across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Previously she spent over 25 years working in strategic change, organisational consulting, and board and leadership development. She has been a senior advisor on major change programmes in government, defence, infrastructure, and financial services, taught on various MBA programmes and at the UK Military’s Defence Academy, worked internationally with the leaders of Christian ministry organisations, and has many years of board experience. She is married to Hugo, a church pastor and planter in the north of England, and they have two adult children.

We can feel pulled between intellectual approaches on the one hand and the pursuit of mystical experiences on the other. One expert tells us to look back into the mists of time, while another tells us to look within or to look at their list of how-to steps. In the midst of all the noise, somehow Jesus often gets lost. In this Pre-Forum Conference, we consider some simple biblical insights that will help us grow spiritually in a straightforward, practical, and Jesus-focused way.

Life in this world is often a struggle. Where can we find motivation to keep going when everything encourages us to fall back? In this session, we consider the motivation for spiritual growth, focusing primarily on the book of Hebrews.

Peter Mead is the director of Cor Deo, a ministry training programme in Chippenham, England. He is also part of the leadership team of Trinity Chippenham, a church Peter helped to plant back in 2014. Peter is a lecturer for Union School of Theology. He studied at Multnomah Biblical Seminary before getting his Doctor of Ministry degree under Haddon Robinson at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the area of expository preaching. Peter is the author of Pleased to Dwell, Lost in Wonder, and Foundations (Christian Focus) as well as The Little Him Book (10ofThose/10Publishing) and The New Birth (Union Publishing). Galatians vs. Corinthians on Legalism | Derek Prince

God has brought The Brooklyn Tabernacle from a handful of members in a small rundown building in a difficult area, to a congregation of more than 10,000 weekly attendees. Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord not only to preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow out of the congregation across New York, as well as domestically and internationally. The ministry of the Church has from the outset reached out to the cross-cultural melting pot of New York City. It is comprised of men, women, and children of all ethnic and national origins. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continual emphasis on prayer, from the Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting that is attended by thousands to the Prayer Band, members of the Church devoted to boldly "calling on the Lord" for needs from around the world.
