Sermons and Bible teaching from Alistair Begg. Alistair has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. Following graduation from The London School of Theology, he served eight years in Scotland at both Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church. 

In 1983, he became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio.  He has written several books and is heard daily and weekly on the radio program, Truth For Life.  The teaching on Truth For Life stems from the week by week Bible teaching at Parkside Church.

He and his wife, Susan, were married in 1975 and they have three grown children.

In this Discover the Word study with archaeologist Dr. Jonathan Greer, the group explores a little discussed tribe of Israel that has a shady past going all the way back to the patriarch himself--Jacob's son Dan. Sometimes the stories in the Bible surprise us and make us feel uncomfortable, and leave us thinking "That's not the way it's supposed to be!" Such is the case for much of The Story of Dan. But while the tribe of Dan has a mixed legacy when it comes to worshipping God, this study reveals how God, remaining faithful to His promises to Abraham, redeems Dan and all of Israel in Jesus, who makes things the way they should be.

Conflict is unavoidable, but Jesus shows us a better way to handle it. In Matthew 18, Jesus lays out a grace-filled process for addressing conflict that prioritizes reconciliation, honesty, and community. This message reminds us to deal directly, seek wise counsel, honor the role of the church, and extend forgiveness far beyond what feels comfortable. Having received great grace from Jesus, we are called to become people who give grace freely. May this teaching shape us into a church marked by humility, unity, and mercy.
