1. The Lord is my shepherd One of the most endearing and comprehensive titles known to an Asiatic nomad. 2. Green pastures Pastures of budding or tender grass. The word desheh denotes the tender shoots, (Deuteronomy 32:2; Deuteronomy 2:0 Samuel 33:4,) as distinguished from ripe grass, which is expressed by another word. Hence, delicious and luxuriant pasture. 3. He restoreth my soul He bringeth back my soul, as a sheep that had strayed. Mat 18:12-13 ; 1 Peter 2:25. The word for “restoreth” means, to return, bring back, or, figuratively, convert.
