"THE HAPPY PEOPLE"
I. "HAPPY IS THE PEOPLE."
A. Happiness is a highly desired emotion.
1. It forms the basic stimuli for most advertising.
2. It seems to be the goal of every man.
B. Happiness is very illusive.
1. People try to find it in so many ways.
2. "The Sad Prince."
3. Happiness is not found by direct pursuit.
a. It cannot be produced.
b. It is a fruit
C. Biblical word blessed means "Oh how happy."
1. God wants you to be happy.
2. Happiness is the fruit of right relationship with God.
II. "WHOSE GOD IS JEHOVAH." PEOPLE WORSHIP OTHER GODS.
A. Every man has a god, the master passion that governs his life.
1. Even the man who says, "I don't believe in God."
2. Through his god he seeks to find happiness.
B. In Biblical days three main false deities.
1. Baal.
2. Molech.
3. Mammon.
4. They sought happiness through one of these channels.
5. The end result was never happiness but despair.
Ill. "HAPPY IS THE PEOPLE WHOSE GOD IS JEHOVAH."
A. Jehovah is the only true God.
1. He is the primary cause in the universe.
a. He made the universe.
b. He calls the stars by name.
c. He calls the stars by name.
d. He designed and created man for His own pleasure and purpose.
1. "He created us subject unto vanity."
2. As nature abhors a vacuum, so man seeks to fill
this void.
2. He is more than an impersonal force, essence, energy of power.
3. He is an all wise, loving, beneficent Father, watching over, loving
and guarding those who trust in Him.
a. He gives
salvation vs. 10
deliverance vs. 11
prosperity 12-14.
b. Happiness does not lie in the things He gives.
1. Common mistake of man's judgment.
c. Happiness is in Him giving yourself over to Him results
in happiness.
B. Jesus Christ is the only path to Jehovah, today.
1. "There is one God, and one mediator."
2. "I am the way, the truth..."
3. "I am the door to the sheepfold..."
4. To know Him is to know Jehovah.
5. To honor Him is to honor Jehovah.
6. To serve Him is to serve Jehovah.

Chuck Smith (1927 - 2013)
Pastor Chuck was used in the Jesus People revival where he was used along with others to minister to the hippy young people. They saw a work of the Spirit where many were added to the church and discipled. He has raised up many pastors who are a part of the Calvary Chapel movement now and where he pastors the large Costa Mesa church in California.The Calvary Chapel movement is based of simple principles that Chuck Smith taught over the years such as: The priority of agape love, Simple fellowship amongst the saints, the breaking of bread, the teaching of God's word chapter by chapter and verse by verse. And lastly and most importantly the principle not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the Lord.
