My tongue shall speak of Thy word - personal labor to speak God's word is found in 'my tongue'; It is not for me to say 'your tongue' or 'you speak' when God has given my a tongue to speak. It is my labor to speak. Way too many Christians are silent. There are numerouse problems or sins that lead to this silence. First, how can they be expected to speak of that which they don't know? Back again to this main issue of God's people not knowing God's Word. Too many nations have no access or ability to learn the Word of God. But if you are reading this, then you have an education and ability to read. Accessing the Word is the next step. Many places have no Bibles, yet we here in the US have scores of free Bibles and internet to to read, study and hear sermons and teachings on.
Another part of this is the desire to read, study and learn the Bible. It is our relational point with Christ. 'IN the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God and the Word was God.' Why should my tongue speak of something that doesn't delight me? It won't. If you look at reading the Bible as a chore or duty, then neither will you speak about it. If it doesn't interest you, you won't share it with others. God gives insgiht and anointing to preaching and teaching that should awaken and arouse holy desire within us to read and know the Word. Then out of that overflow, one will speak and share. Another major interest of concern is peoples doubting that the Bible is truly the Word of God. Yes, there has been much debate and division over these things. The soul that cannot rest nor trust in the Bible as the Word of God will not speak the word of God. They will not read it, they will not cherish it, they will not learn it and they will not declare it. And when Satan causes the doubt, 'has God said?' People will remove the Word of God from their nation, from their church, from their family and from their own life. This is a generation that has done this very thing. And you may understand why the heathen sinners woudl do so; but how can we possibly understand His Own people neglecting His Word. Do you not hear teh silence from the church? Ask them to speak on politics, they are filled with opinions and statements.
Ask them to talk on sports, they know all the stats and teams. ASk them to speak on Hollywood, they know all the latest buzz. Ask them to name the 12 tribes of Israel or the 12 apostles or the 66 books of the Bible, they can't name 1/3 of them. You see the soul that lvoes the Lord, loves His Word and will know it and will speak it. Let the Word declare it's own self. It is able to endure the depravity of man; the arrogance of the wise, and the folly of the fools. The Word of God is suffecient. Speak it; share it; read it; memorize it; learn from it; live it; but let us not be silent. speak the Word to edify, to see men brought to the SAvior, to encourage, to help, to guide. All these things will the Word of God fulfill if we speak it. I want you to do it, but if I don't do it, then I am a hypocrite.
Let us all go forth speaking as we should. There is much to say, there is little time to do it. But let me not be silent; don't you be silent. 'My tongue shall speak' For all Thy commandments are righteouseness - word study, all; God is righteous in all His ways and words; That which proceeds from Him is righteous. His commands, His teachings, His instructions proceed from His thoughts, His words declared to His people and they are filled with His righteousness.
