Not Dedication
The flesh or old nature cannot benefit from DEDICATION, only from crucifixion (dying). To dedicate the flesh (self) is to go on in the power of the earthly, rather than of the Spirit of God.
Dedication in Scripture refers to buildings and offerings, not of people to God. Human power, once prominent in us, is exchanged for the new nature of our Risen Saviour, His life instead of ours, in us for fruit bearing. Stupendous! A mystery? No, it is miracle, and a truth to possess, a gift form God. He Who built the universe and dwells in us is capable of all this and more.
This daily inner communion with Him is the difference between fainting and fulfillment. He promised Eternal Life, "and the Crown of Righteousness, in that Day."
