There certainly is no lack of preaching, but there seems to be a deficit in changed lives. Here are many professions, but one must question how much real spiritual possession. Even great pastors question how many in their congregations are genuinely a part of God's family. Could it be that we should look at modern preaching as a possible cause?
WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE ESSENTIAL IN PREACHING THAT CHANGES LIVES?
5. Preaching must be more heart than art. Be more concerned about the "heart" in preaching rather than the "art". The biggest danger to the work of God is a "successful preaching" in the energy of the flesh.
Anointed preaching flowing out of cleansed, transparently honest and open, and filled vessels alone can produce changed lives. The Scriptures make it clear that "not by might, nor by power, but my Spirit saith the Lord of hosts".
The most eloquent preaching in the energy of the flesh will produce nothing but death. It is the Spirit that quickens and gives life. When the heart is filled with the fullness of God, we can anticipate divine results.
MAY GOD GIVE US PREACHERS IN THE PULPIT WITH HEARTS ABLAZE TO BELIEVE FOR CHANGED LIVES AS A RESULT OF ANOINTED BIBLICAL PREACHING.
