Testimony to Christs resurrection

Luke 24:1-9 The tomb in which Christ was buried, was that of a rich man - where a sepulchre was dug into the side of a hill, and had a stone (perhaps weighing up to 3 tons) in front of the entrance to seal it. Leverages were used to move the stone into position to seal the tomb. Within the sepulchre... Read More

Thankful or thankless

Luk 17:11-19 God's ways are not our ways. Galilee is to the North of Samaria and Jerusalem to the South of Samaria (see this map or this link to read more). So from our text it seems like the order is wrong, first Samaria then Galilee and then back through Samaria and to Jerusalem. Jesus did not use... Read More

The awesome power of God

In Exodus 8 v 1-5,16-18, 20,21,24 we read of what God did and He did all these things through His finger. God is Spirit. He has no physical hand as we do and so He uses a language we can understand and that is the body that we have. There were three funerals yesterday. A person cannot be in three pl... Read More

The centrality of the Trinity

Summary of sermon by Rev Erlo Stegen We cannot fathom the depths of God. The Triune nature of God is one of those mysteries. The Bible gives us partial revelation. Enough is revealed to glorify God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is the story of a certain theologian who struggled with the ide... Read More

The coming together of young people through prayer

Gen 24:1-16 There is so much we can learn through Abraham who is the father of the believers. He knew God and God knew him. 1) Abraham spoke to his chief-servant in his household, the one in charge of all that he had. In the Bible the household doesn't just refer to a man's wife and children but all... Read More

The Divinity of Jesus Christ

John 1:1 - 3; Hebr 1:1-14 Many religions deny the Divinity of Jesus Christ, like Islam, which states that Jesus was only a great prophet, but that He is not God neither the Father's son.
