INTRODUCTION 
 
When Paul wrote his second epistle to the Corinthians, he let them know that there is a possibility that Satan might take advantage of them: 2 Corinthians 2:11 READ PLEASE ???? 
 
All of Jesus followers must be in a position to NOT be caught off guard, WATCH and PRAY! Satan's advantage is based upon one being "ignorant of his devices". But if we are aware of the methods Satan uses to lead people astray, we can resist him successfully! READ PLEASE ???? Romans 12:2 
 
I. BLIND THE MINDS OF PEOPLE 
Satan still works hard to keep sinners blinded to the glorious Gospel of JESUS. JESUS is the Light in this world of Darkness and JESUS is Salvation! Satan's aim is to use every trick to keep sinners blind and ignorant to GOD'S HOLY WORD! 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. Please note that if our gospel of JESUS be hid IT IS hid from those that are LOST, EYES THAT HAVE BEEN BLINDED TO THE GOSPEL OF JESUS! 
 
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 READ PLEASE ???? 
 
So, "the god of this age" has blinded them so that can't or will not desire to accept JESUS or understand the Good News. What is that GOOD NEWS, THE CROSS, FAITH and HOPE IN A LIVING SAVIOR, THE GIFT OF GOD, BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME! Acts 2:38; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4. 
 
• By the doctrine of ATHEISM - there is no god; and Polytheism belief in more than one god. 
• By the doctrine of EVOLUTION - we are simply animals. 
• By the doctrine of HUMANISM - this belief stress values put on being good, showing kindness and love. This belief rejects the idea that we need Jesus or the Bible. 
 
Our greatest weapon is TRUTH, which can defeat the false arguments! Remember Satan hopes is to keep sinners in SIN! John 8:32 READ PLEASE! ???? 
 
II. GET PEOPLE HOOKED ON "THE THINGS OF THE WORLD" 
 
REGARDING THIS "DEVICE" OF SATAN 
I am referring to those things described in 1 John 2:15-17 READ PLEASE! ???? 
 
Satan used these tactics against EVE. Genesis 3:6 READ PLEASE! ???? 
• What she saw was "good for food" (the lust of the flesh) 
• It was "pleasant to the eyes" (lust of the eyes) 
• It was "desirable to make one wise" (pride of life) 
 
Satan also tried these tactics in tempting Jesus. Matthew 4:1-11 READ PLEASE! ???? 
• "command that these stones become bread" (lust of the flesh) 
• "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down" (pride of life) 
• All these things I will give you if" (lust of the eyes) 
 
Today, many are still in darkness and many are returning to their darkness because sin is tempting, daring, adventurous, FUN until you pay for it through a lost marriage, a disease, a car accident, and suicide. 
 
OUR BEST DEFENSE AGAINST IT 
Saturate ourselves with the Word of God! 
This is how Jesus overcame His temptations by the devil. Matthew 4:4,7,10 READ PLEASE! ???? Develop LOVE FOR JESUS! 1 John 2:15 READ PLEASE! ???? One cannot be a friend of the world and maintain friendship with JESUS. James 4:4 READ PLEASE! ???? 
 
By saturating ourselves with the WORD OF GOD, SING PRAISES TO YOURSELF, LOVE, GIVE and FORGIVE, SHOW MERCY TO OTHERS BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE SINNEDAND FALLEN SHORT OF PLEASING JESUS, James 4:7 READ PLEASE! ???? 
 
III. PERSECUTE THOSE TRYING TO DO RIGHT 
 
REGARDING THIS "DEVICE" OF SATAN 
Peter warned that the devil sought to devour Christians through persecutions. 1 Peter 5:8-9. READ PLEASE! ???? Paul worried that afflictions brought about by Satan might tempt the Thessalonians to give up. 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5. Even today, Satan persecutes Christians! Some literally died! Others through social pressures that are often equally effective: 
 
• Peer pressure by strangers, family and friends! 
• Ridiculed by strangers, family and friends! 
• Ostracism from strangers, family and friends! 
 
OUR BEST DEFENSE AGAINST IT 
Encourage one another! This is what Peter did in 1 Peter 5:8-10. Paul sent Timothy to do the same in 1 Thessalonians 3:2-3. Adopt the proper attitude: Rejoice! Knowing that trials can make us stronger. James 1:2-4; Romans 5:3-4. Knowing that those who endure are blessed by God. INTRODUCTION 
 
Jesus told his disciples that in this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world (John 16:33). The Book of Hebrews informs us of those who suffer. Paul addresses his concerns to the congregation concerning their suffering. So they can reflect back on the suffering and work of Jesus and how things will be in these last days. Hebrews. 9:26b-28. 
 
Paul, credited with writing this book in some circles, is concerned about the people to whom he writes in a time of their suffering. One way of understanding the purpose of the author is to see how he gets them/us to think and gaze upon Jesus as our High Priest. Hebrews. 1:1-4; 2:10-18. Jesus is greater than the angels Hebrews 2:5-13; Jesus is greater than Moses Hebrews. 3:1-6; Jesus performed a better sacrifice because he is a greater High Priest Hebrews 5:10; 6:19-7:28; 9:11. Hebrews 13:8 in their suffering, they can be encouraged that Jesus who was GREATER identifies with them/us! Hebrews 2:10-18; 12:1-11; Acts 3:15; 5:31. 
 
The Believer's life is a race run, according to the author of the Hebrews 12:1. That is, the race believers in Christ must run in these last days! Hebrews teaches us to understand our lives as pilgrim people in the world. This world is NOT OUR HOME! JOHN 14:1; Habakkuk 2:4; Hebrews 10:38; 2:14-18; 4:15. 
 
The believers in Hebrews were greatly disheartened or "sluggish" and losing faith because of the persecution and suffering that they were undergoing. Hebrews 5:11; 6:12; 12:3. This sounds like some of the believers today. 
 
According to Hebrews 10:32, the believers had "endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to abuse and affliction. Today, so far, most believers have not suffered to this extent. Yet, the suffering that believers today suffer is disheartening. They have lost love ones, financial loss, lost jobs, lost homes, lost businesses, sadness, church closings, cancer and so much more. Yet, JESUS will not put more on you than you can bear even in temptations JESUS has made a way! 
 
The Greek word for perseverance is Hupomone (Hoop-om-on-ay) means to be steadfastness, consistency, and endurance. Hebrews 12:1 
 
This perseverance in Jesus leads to victory and development of a godly, sanctified, and holy transformation. 
 
I. KEEPS THE BELIEVER FROM GOING BACK TO THE WORLD OR FROM ACCEPTING A FALSE RELIGION! 
 
Obey Acts 2:38 The Holy Ghost helps our infirmities, and He gives us the strength to grow! He helps us to Persevere! 
 
A. BECAUSE SPIRITUAL GROWTH TAKES TIME 
 
• Time to grow is implied in Hebrews 5:12 
• It takes time to learn. 
• Learn the Word of God, PRAY, GAST , WORSHIP and to be THANKFUL! 
• To learn what areas of service may be open to us. 
• It takes time to develop a Christ-like character 
and to function holy 8n Jesus. 
• Utilize our functions in the body of Christ by: attending prayer calls, Zoom Bible Classes, or phone bible classes help develop you to grow and stay ENCOURAGED! 
 
B. SPIRITUAL GROWTH CAN REGRESS 
1. Regression Revelations 2:4-5 
2. We can regress by simply SLOWLY failing to grow, GETTING COLD! 
a. Such was the case with the Hebrew Christians. 
b. Hebrews 5:12 
3. We can regress by going back into the world. 
a. Such was the case with false teachers. 
b. 2 Peter 2:20-22. 
Like physical health, spiritual health requires persistent exercise, or we will regress into spiritual sickness and DARKNESS! 
 
II. MAINTAINING PERSEVERANCE 
 
A. DISPLAY SELF-CONTROL DAILY 
Self-control must be exercised one day at a time. Self-control, staying steadfast and thinking on POSITIVE things, that are good report and lovely! 
 
B. KEEP YOUR EYE ON YOUR PURPOSE 
 
Paul tells of his perseverance READ:2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Philippians 3:12-15. Jesus is our example of enduring what comes our way. Hebrews 12:1-3. We, too, must persevere! 
 
How? It starts and ends with daily habits. 
• Bible reading 1 Peter 2:2 
• Prayer frees from anxiety through the peace of God. Philippians 4:6-7 
• Encouraging each other, spending time with one another help protects against apostasy. Hebrews 3:12-15 
• Witnessing to others leads to spiritual growth. Our perseverance is to remain focused on Jesus and KEEP HIS WORK GOING! 
 
CONCLUSION 
 
Progress in the past is not sufficient. We need to perseverance for today and tomorrow! 
 
HEBREWS 10:36-38 
 
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition but of those who believe in the saving of the soul.

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
Think of this analogy: My husband and I are of African descent. . There’s one problem, our newborn has blue eyes and very light complexion, we hear his first cries as to say, “Hi Mom, Hi Dad!” I am still in my birth position, while everyone, I mean everyone in the delivery room stares in shock at me including my African husband! LET'S GET TO WORK!  
 
 
Well, as God is holy, so His children must be holy - 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 4:7. How can one "pursue holiness"? True holiness (sanctification) comes through: the blood of Jesus, through the remission of one’s sin when one is baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost. 1 John 1:7, Matthew 26:28; Acts 2:38.  You need the Holy Spirit - 1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Titus 3:5 The Word of God sanctifies us. His Truth sanctifies us - John 17:17,19  
 
 
God's Grace is HERE TO HELP ANYONE!  (Hebrews 4:14-16). We can serve Him in a manner well-pleasing to Him.   
 
 
God’s holiness is manifested in His works. "The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works" (Ps. 145:17). Nothing but that which is excellent can proceed from Him. Holiness is the rule of all His actions. Man was made "upright" (Ecclesiastes 7:29), in the image and likeness of his Creator. The angels that fell were created holy, for we are told that they "kept not their first habitation" (Jude 6). Of Satan it is written, "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee" (Ezekiel 28:15). 
 
 
The sinner is only forgiven THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS! (Hebrews. 9:22).  
 
 
The unregenerate soul do not really believe in the holiness of God. This is why they can curse in one breath and talk of God’s Goodness in another breath. Their conception of His character is altogether one-sided. They fondly hope that His mercy and grace will override everything sinful they do without no plans of letting go of sin.  
 
 
Indulgent man leniently winks at the "indiscretions" of his youth and old age. Yet, the Word says, "Thou hatest all workers of iniquity "(Ps. 5:5). And again, "God is angry with the wicked every day" (Ps. 7:11).  
 
 
"God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all about Him" (Ps. 89:7). 
 
 
Because God is Holy we should desire to be conformed to Him. His command is, "Be ye holy, for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:16). We are not bidden to be omnipotent or omniscient as God is, but we are to be holy, and that "in all manner of conversation" (1 Peter 1:15). 
 
 
The beauty of holiness is one who denies self for Christ’s sake.  The natural man is totally incapable of discerning this excellence of beauty which has a great price in the sight of God. God must remove the scales from the eyes of their hearts before they can perceive that holiness is beautiful. 
 
 
Folks are accustomed to saying, “Beauty is but skin deep.” Not so the beauty of holiness: it is rooted in the inner man, and sheds its purifying influence over the entire being. “Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain” (Prov. 31:30). Holiness never disappoints.  
 
 
The fairest human countenance quickly withers: “all her beauty is departed” (Lamentation 1:6). Even when it is preserved to the end of a short life, “their beauty shall consume in the grave” (Psa. 49:14). How fervently, then, should we pray, “Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us” (Psa. 90:17).  
 
 
The beauty of holiness is glorifying to God, it differs radically from human beauty. To glorifying our Maker is the bound duty of man, and nothing honors Him so much as our walking in separation from the sin and practices of the world.  How many women have used their personal attractions to entice men rather than magnify God? How many well-proportioned and handsome men have employed their gifts for self-glorification rather than the praise of God?  
 
 
“O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” This is the only kind of beauty that the Lord cares for in our devotions.  
 
 
Architecture and expensive apparel God does not delight in. It is the loveliness of inward purity and outward sanctity that pleases our Savior. 
 
 
Have you obeyed Jesus in responding to His Gospel? (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38) Are you obeying Jesus by living "As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance? But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:14-16

Forty days following His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven. Watched by His disciples, until a cloud received Him out of their sight - Acts 1:9. Which took place near Bethany, while Jesus blessed them - Luke 24:50-51 
 
 
Important to our faith and hope is understanding what happened after Jesus ascended to heaven, and that begins with: 
 
 
I. THE EXALTATION OF CHRIST 
 
 
A. PROPHESIED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT 
 
Despite efforts by rulers and kings against God's anointed the psalmist and the prophets foretold that the Messiah would be exalted.  They all spoke of the Suffering Servant. Psalms 2:1-7; Acts 4:23-28; Isaiah 52:13; 53:12; Daniel 7:13  
 
 
B. PROCLAIMED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 
 
1. Jesus told disciples He was about to enter His glory - Luke 24:25-27 
 
2. He is now seated at the right hand of God - Mark 16:19 
 
3. He has been exalted to be Prince and Savior - Acts 2:33-35; 5:31 
 
4. Given a name above every name - Acts 4:12; Philippians 2:9 
 
5. He has obtained a more excellent name than the angels - Hebrews 1:3-4.   
 
 
II. THE REIGN OF CHRIST 
 
    
 
A. AS PROPHESIED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT 
 
1. To rule in the midst of His enemies, till they are made His footstool - Psalms 110:1-2,5-7 
 
2. To have a government of peace, judgment, and justice - Isaiah 9:6-7 
 
3. That all peoples, nations, languages, should serve Him - Daniel 7:14 
 
 
B. PROCLAIMED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 
 
1. Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth - Matthew 28:18 
 
2. He is above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name - Ephesians 1:20-22 
 
3. Angels, authorities, and powers have been made subject to Him - 1 Peter 3:22 
 
1 Corinthians 15:24-26 
 
Revelations 1:5 
 
Revelations 2:26-27 
 
Revelations 17:14;  1 Timothy 6:14-15 
 
 
Jesus reigns in the midst of His enemies (Psalms 110:1-2) until the last enemy is defeated (1 Corinthians 15:25-26).  In the meantime, this is what's going on as we await the Lord's return. 
 
 
III. JESUS IS RULING IN THE KINGDOMS OF MEN 
 
 
A. CHRIST NOW REIGNS AS SOVEREIGN 
 
1. As claimed before His ascension to heaven - Matthew 28:18 
 
2. As proclaimed after His ascension - Revelations 2:26-27; 3:21 
 
3. As taught by His apostles - Ephesians 1:20-22; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28; 1 Peter 3:22 
 
So He has the authority, but does He exercise it? Consider the next point. 
 
 
B. CHRIST NOW REIGNS IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN. 
 
As foretold by the prophets 
 
1) The attempt of the nations to reject Christ - Psalms 2:1-3 
 
2) The coronation of Christ despite their efforts - Psalms 2:4-6 
 
3) The exercise of Christ's rule over the nations - Psalms 2:7-9 
 
 
In Psalms 110, which tells of: The rule of Christ in the midst of His enemies - Psalms 110:1-2. The voluntary service of His people (the church), and the priestly service of their King - Psalms 110:3-4. The exercise of judgment among the nations - Psalms 110:5-7 -- Acts 2:32-36  
 
 
We aren't always going to understand what's going on in this world. Some might ask if Christ rules in the kingdom of men, why do evil men and evil empires exist? This was a problem that perplexed Habakkuk. Who bewailed the wickedness in Israel - Habakkuk 1:2-4. Who was amazed that God would punish Israel by a nation more evil than it - Habakkuk 1:12-13. Who placed his trust in God, no matter the circumstances - Habakkuk3:17-19. It helps to understand the nature of Christ's rule. He rules "in the midst of His enemies"  and  "till He has put all enemies under His feet" - 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 Jesus exercises His authority over the nations in ways we may not always comprehend. 
 
 
CLOSING 
 
 
We can take comfort in knowing that "the Most High rules" today. He who rules in the kingdom of men is Jesus! Who is our Savior, Priest, and Friend! Therefore we can look forward to the future with hope, not apprehension. 
 
 
You must give Jesus sovereign rule in your personal life. He must be "your" Lord, the King of "your" life! 
 
 
Have you submitted in obedience to Him who is both Lord and Christ? Have you been down in the name of Jesus for the remission of  your sins, have Jesus fill you with the Holy

Many pastors are dropping the word church because they are saying sinners are offended by it. When it comes to naming it should be somewhere on the license documents. We aren't supposed to change with the culture, the culture must change to the bible-based church. I think about Elijah when he thought that he was the only prophet alive when fleeing from the prophetess Jezebel, she was a worshipper of Baal. God told Elijah I have 7000 prophets that will not bow nor kissed Baal! Glory! God has leaders that will NOT allow the culture to change the foundation of what perfectly works in the sight of God!

INTRODUCTION 
 
1. In Matthew 16:13-17, Jesus questioned His disciples concerning His identity 
a. He asked who others thought He was 
b. He then asked who they thought He was 
c. Peter responded: "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." 
d. Matthew 16:17 
 
2. Jesus then used this opportunity to speak of His church - Matthew 16:18-19 
 
3. This passage naturally raises several questions 
a. What is this "church" Jesus promised to build? 
b. What is the "foundation" upon which it would be built? 
c. How would "the gates of Hades" not prevail against it? 
d. What "authority" was given by Jesus, and to whom? 
 
Anyone who believes in Jesus should have a vital interest in the answers to these questions. So let's begin by noting first of all. 
 
I. THE CHURCH JESUS BUILT 
 
A. THE CHURCH DEFINED 
1. The Greek word is ekklesia, meaning "an assembly, a congregation" 
2. It is used in the Bible most often in two senses: 
 
B. THE CHURCH CHARACTERIZED 
1. It is called "the body of Christ" - Ephesians 1:22-23 
2. 1 Timothy 3:15 
3. Ephesians 2:19-22; 1 Peter 2:5 
4. Colossians 1:13; Revelations 1:9 
5. 2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelations 19:6-9; 21:2 
 
C. THE CHURCH ESTABLISHED 
1. It is evident that the church was not established at the time Jesus spoke 
a. He said "I WILL build my church " - Matthew 16:18 
b. Matthew 16:20 
2. The church is mentioned after Jesus' resurrection 
a. Acts 2:47 
b. From that time forward, the church is spoken of as being in existence 
3. It is fair to conclude that the church began on the day of Pentecost 
a. Acts 2:1-21 
b. Acts 2:22-40 
c. Acts 2:41,47 
 
D. THE CHURCH VISIBLE 
1. The church is a spiritual body of people 
a. Acts 2:47; 2 Timothy 2:19; John 10:14 
a. Acts 8:1;13:1; 14:21-23,27 
b. 1 Corinthians 1:2; 11:17-18; 14:23 
 
II. THE FOUNDATION OF HIS CHURCH 
 
A. MANY PASSAGES PROCLAIM JESUS AS THE "CORNERSTONE" 
1. As foretold by Isaiah - Isaiah 28:16 
2. As proclaimed by Peter - Acts 4:11-12; 1 Peter 2:6-8 
3. As taught by Paul - 1 Corinthians 3:11; Ephesians 2:20 
 
B. JESUS THE "ROCK" IN MATTHEW 16:18? 
 
1) Jesus Christ is the cornerstone, the primary foundation Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:6 
 
2) Ephesians 2:20; Revelations 21:14 
b. That Jesus may be referring to what we learn later to be true, that upon Peter (along with the other apostles and Christ Himself) Jesus would build His church 
 
3. Jesus might be referring to the principle of divine revelation working through His apostles, like Peter 
a. Jesus had just praised Peter for his confession, which was the result of divine revelation - Matthew 16:16-17; Matthew 16:19; John 16:12-13; 20:22-23 If so, then Jesus is making the point that His church, while established through the work of men like Peter and the apostles, would be built on a solid foundation since they would be led by divine revelation 
 
Whatever the "rock" in Matthew 16:18, ( Ephesians 2:20). At this point, let's skip ahead to what we learn about. 
 
III. THE AUTHORITY OF HIS CHURCH 
 
A. AUTHORITY WAS PROMISED TO THE APOSTLES 
1. To Peter was promised "the keys of the kingdom" - Matthew 16:19 
a. The figure of "keys" the authority; whatever you bind or loose 
b. Peter preached the gospel, as he did on the day of Pentecost - Acts 2:17-41 
2. To the apostles was promised the power "to bind" and "to loose" 
a. Matthew 16:19 
b. Matthew 18:18; John 16:12-13 
 
B. THE EARLY CHURCH RECOGNIZED THIS AUTHORITY 
1. They "continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine " - Acts 2:42 
 
CONCLUSION 
There is just one church the body of Jesus Christ, remission through His blood Matthew 26:28. The church began on the Day of Pentecost. The Lord is the ONLY one that added to HIS church. Acts 2:47 The Lord keeps the books of membership.

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
Deception has been a reality in this world since the beginning. In Genesis 3:1 we learn that “the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made....” God told Adam and Eve to eat of any tree in the Garden except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But because of the deception of the serpent they broke this commandment (Genesis 3:4, 14). The trickery of “that old serpent, called the Devil” (Revelations 12:9) continues even unto this very hour. 
 
 
The Bible warns us sternly that there will be those who “lie in wait to deceive” (Ephesians 4:14).  
 
 
Deception is a very real danger. Romans 5:12, James 1:14-15. Satan wants you and me, our children, and all of those whom we love to lose our souls at his hand. He and his ministers have launched an all-out assault upon the foundation of our faith with but one goal – our spiritual demise. This is why it is of utmost importance for us to “try the spirits” (1 John. 4:1). Through Scripture we must familiarize ourselves with our enemy so that we are able to see through the deceptive lies he uses to seduce us. As the apostle Paul wrote, “We are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11). 
 
 
In 1 Kings 13 we learn about the old prophet who deceived the man of God. God had commanded His servant to “eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest” (1 Kings 13:9).  
 
 
We must be ever mindful of those who would seek to deceive us into doing wrong. Satan is active in our world today and he will stop at nothing to see that your soul is lost. The danger of deception is very real and you and I need to be constantly searching the scriptures to see if the things we are taught are true (Acts 17:11). 
 
 
Apostasy in the Letter to the Hebrews 
 
 
There are at least four distinct images in Scripture of the concept of apostasy. These images are: Rebellion; Turning Away; Falling Away; Adultery. 
 
 
Rebellion 
 
used to denote a coup or defection this word to portray a rebellion against God (Joshua 22:22; 2 Chronicles 29:19). 
 
 
Turning away 
 
"Apostasy is also pictured as the heart turning away from God (Jeremiah 17:5–6) and righteousness (Ezekiel 3:20). In the OT it centers on Israel's breaking covenant relationship with God through disobedience to the law (Jeremiah 2:19), especially following other gods (Judges 2:19) and practicing their immorality (Daniel 9:9–11). Following the Lord or journeying with him is one of the chief images of faithfulness in the Scriptures.  
 
 
Falling away 
 
"The image of falling, with the sense of going to eternal destruction, is particularly evident in the New Testament. In Christ’s parable of the foolish builder (Matthew 7:24–27) 
 
 
Adultery 
 
One of the most common images for apostasy in the Old Testament is adultery."Apostasy is symbolized as Israel the faithless spouse turning away from Yahweh her marriage partner to pursue the advances of other gods (Jeremiah 2:1–3; Ezekiel 16) (Jeremiah 5:7). Adultery is used most often to graphically name the horror of the betrayal and covenant breaking involved in idolatry. Like literal adultery it does include the idea of someone blinded by infatuation, in this case for an idol: 'How I have been grieved by their adulterous hearts . . . which have lusted after their idols' (Ezekiel 6:9)." 
 
 
1. Peter's warning against "false teachers" of their 
 
a. destructiveness of false teachers -2 Peter 2:1-3 
 
b. doom of false teachers -2 Peter 2:4-9 
 
c. depravity of false teachers -2 Peter 2:10-17 
 
 
1. The very real possibility of apostasy and losing one's salvation helps us to understand the grave concern expressed by Peter in his epistle 
 
a. The Bible teaches Christians can "fall from your own steadfastness" 
 
b. The Bible teaches Christians can be "led away with the error of the wicked" 
 
 
2. For these reasons he takes so much time describing the "false teachers" who are losing their salvation and trying to take others with them! 
 
 
3. But if we can remember what Peter says about  
 
a. The destructiveness of false teachers 
 
b. The doom of false teachers 
 
c. The depravity of false teachers 
 
d. The deceptions of false teachers then we are not likely to be swayed by such individuals. 
 
 
Beware of "false teachers" we must be careful not to be deterred in our spiritual pilgrimage.

How would you respond if someone placed a gun to your head and asked, “Are you willing to die for Jesus?”  If you are like most believers in Jesus, you want to say that you would remain faithful to Him to the end, regardless of the threat.  The truth is that you probably do not know the answer.  Until we are actually IN that position. 
 
 
Die daily for Jesus 
 
 
There are Christians around the world who wake up every morning with the possibility of facing death for their faith in Jesus.  These people could discuss this scenario because it is a very real threat to them.  For most of us, this is simply not the case. 
 
 
In light of that, how is a follower of Jesus supposed to respond to the following Scripture?  How do we live out this command given to us from Jesus? 
 
 
Take Up The Cross Daily 
 
 
If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

We Should Be Thinking Eternally 
 
Second, even though we may lose our temporary desires in this world, there is a greater reward in store for us.  Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men,  knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.

We Are to Surrender 
 
Third, throughout Scripture, we are taught that we are to surrender to His desires.  We are to humble ourselves.  We are to seek Him first.  This is the mystery we are given: 
 
 
The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

I encourage you to think about the areas of your life in which you need to die daily for Jesus.  Is it your business?  Are you running your business for the purpose of reaching your own desires, goals, and dreams?  Or have you turned it over to Him and you are now seeking Him first in every area of it?   Be prepared to die for Jesus every day. 
 
 
Having said that did you know that one in every nine Christians in the world lives in an area, or in a culture, in which Christianity is illegal, forbidden, or punished?  Well, according to the latest report on global persecution by Open Doors USA there has been a 14 percent increase over the previous year. 
 
 
For the past 27 years, the organization has published the Open Doors World Watch List, countries most vulnerable to societal unrest and destabilization. 
 
 
During the World Watch List 2019 reporting period, in the top 50 countries, a total of 1,266 churches or Christian buildings were attacked; 2,635 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned; and 4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons. On average, that’s 11 Christians killed every day for their faith. 
 
 
Countries are ranked by the severity of persecution of Christians, calculated by analyzing the level of violent persecution plus the pressure experienced in five spheres of life: church, national, community, family, and private. Based on the report’s research, the top 10 nations where Christians found it most dangerous and difficult to practice their faith are. I AM GOING TO LIST TEN. There ARE 10 AND COUNTING. 
 
 
1. North Korea 
 
Persecution type: Communist and Post-Communist Oppression 
 
 
Estimated number of Christians: 300,000 
 
 
How Christians are suffering: “The primary driver of persecution in North Korea is the state. For three generations, everything in the country has focused on idolizing the Kim family. Christians are seen as hostiles to be eradicated. There was hope that new diplomatic efforts in 2018—including the 2018 Winter Olympics—would mean a lessening of pressure and violence against Christians, but so far that has not been the case. Kim Jong-un has maintained tight control over the populace, and dissent or worshiping anything else is not tolerated.” 
 
 
Prayer point: “The situation for Christians is vulnerable and precarious. They face persecution from state authorities and their non-Christian family, friends, and neighbors. Pray for their protection.”

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
The words “sanctify” and “sanctification” are translated from the Greek “hagiazo” It means to make holy, to set apart for a special purpose; related words include holiness, consecration, saint -- As we shall see, this pertains to both our standing before God and our conduct before God. This means as a Christian we are “Consecrated To God”.  
 
 
As we take a closer look at this aspect of being a Christian, let’s first consider it. 
 
 
I. THE PROGRESS OF SANCTIFICATION 
 
 
A. ALL CHRISTIANS ARE SANCTIFIED... 
 
The church at Corinth Paul writes 
 
1) Who were “sanctified in Christ Jesus” - 1 Co 1:2 
 
2) Who had been “sanctified” - 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 
 
 
Yet many of these people were still “babes in Christ” and “carnal” - READ: 1 Corinthians 3:1-3  
 
 
1) They were filled with envy, strife, and divisions 
 
2) They were acting carnally, as mere men would conduct themselves as worldly 
 
a. Note the use of the word “saint” in addressing all Christians - Romans 1:7; 1 Co 1:2; Ph 1:1; Co 1:2 
 
b. Because they had been “set apart” to be “God’s holy people”, it was appropriate to be called “saints” -  1 Pe 2:9 
 
It was expected for them to be set apart. 
 
 
B. CHRISTIANS ARE ALSO “BEING SANCTIFIED” 
 
1. Sanctification is an ongoing process 
 
a. Those in Christ are “being sanctified” - Hebrews 2:11 
 
b. It begins at conversion and continues as we grow in the faith 
 
c. As Paul prayed for the Thessalonians: “may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely” - 1 Th 5:23 
 
2. Thus Christians are to pursue sanctification (holiness) 
 
a. As the Hebrews were admonished - Hebrews 12:14 
 
b. As Paul commanded the Corinthians - 2 Corinthians 7:1 
 
3. God is holy, so we are to be holy in our conduct - 1 Peter 1:15-16  
 
   
 
 
II. THE PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION 
 
 
A. SANCTIFICATION IS THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. 
 
1. Note how sanctification is tied in with the work of the Holy Spirit: 
 
a. “sanctified by the Holy Spirit” - Romans 15:16 
 
b. “sanctified...by the Spirit of our God” - 1 Co 6:11 
 
c. “sanctification by the Spirit” - 2 Thessalonians 2:13  
 
d. “the sanctifying work of the Spirit” - 1 Peter 1:2  
 
2. The Holy Spirit naturally has an important role in our ongoing sanctification... 
 
a. Because He was instrumental in our spiritual regeneration when we become Christians Ti 3:5-6 
 
b. Our bodies serve as the temple of the Holy Spirit - 1 Co 6:19-20 
 
c. The Spirit is the instrumental agent by which God strengthens the inner man - Ep 3:16 -- How does the Spirit accomplish His work of ongoing sanctification?  
 
 
B. SANCTIFICATION IS ALSO THE WORK OF THE WORD OF GOD. 
 
 
1. Note that sanctification is also said to be tied in with the Word of God: 
 
a. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 
 
b. “that He might sanctify the church by the word of God” - Ephesians 5:26-27  
 
 
2. The Word is evidently the instrument used by the Spirit to help bring about our salvation and sanctification. Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 
 
 
a. One who sets their mind on things the Spirit has revealed through the Word is setting their mind on “the things of the Spirit” 
 
b. When we set our minds on “the things of the Spirit” (the Word of God), we are then able to “live according to the Spirit” -Romans 8:5  
 
c. Led by the Spirit through the Word of God, we will then produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, instead of the works of the flesh - Galatians 5:16-22 -- If we wish to live holy, sanctified lives, we must allow the Spirit to do His work through the Word of God!

CONCLUSION 
 
 
You have to appreciate the privilege of being “Consecrated To God” that God has blessed us to be part of “a holy nation”, that God has called you into holiness because He is holy. Now that you have been baptized in the name of Jesus and is now filled with the Holy Ghost you are Consecrated to God and He desires to sanctify as you grow more and more in His Grace.  Acts 2:38 
 
 
We all take to heart the admonition of Paul in 2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

INTRODUCTION


The words “sanctify” and “sanctification” are translated from the Greek “hagiazo” It means to make holy, to set apart for a special purpose; related words include holiness, consecration, saint -- As we shall see, this pertains to both our standing before God and our conduct before God. This means as a Christian we are “Consecrated To God”. 


As we take a closer look at this aspect of being a Christian, let’s first consider it.

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
It is a spiritual kingdom, not a physical kingdom as stated in  Luke 17:20-21; John 18:36 
 
It is the reign of God as manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. Matthew 12:28; 28:18 Let's get to work! 
 
 
I. THE KINGDOM OF GOD FORETOLD 
 
 
A. PRIOR TO JESUS' COMING. 
 
The prophet Daniel  prophesied in Daniel 2:44   
 
 
Daniel said that God would establish a kingdom in the days of the fourth empire (Roman). A kingdom that would never be destroyed.  Luke 1:31-33  
 
 
B. DURING JESUS' MINISTRY. 
 
In the beginning - Mark 1:14-15 14 At the height of the Kingdom Jesus casted out devils.  Matthew 12:28  
 
 
The kingdom "has come", The kingdom "present with power" - Luke 23:42,51; Mark 15:43; Acts 1:3,6 
 
 
After the resurrection, Jesus taught His disciples about the kingdom. Acts 1:3  
 
 
II. THE KINGDOM OF GOD PRESENT 
 
 
 A. THE KINGDOM NOW EXISTS. 
 
He must reign until all enemies are placed under His feet - 1 Corinthians  15:25-26 Matthew 28:18, Acts 2:36; Ephesians 1:20-22; 1 Peter 3:22; Revelations 2:26-27; 1 Timothy 6:14-15.  
 
 
 B. THE KINGDOM IS NOW PRESENT. 
 
The church is that community of souls in whose hearts Christ is recognized as sovereign. 1 Thessalonians 2:12; Colossians 1: 13; Hebrews 12:28; Revelations 1:9.  
 
 
III. THE KINGDOM OF GOD FUTURE 
 
 
 A. JESUS SPOKE OF ITS FUTURE. 
 
The righteous will shine in the kingdom of their Father. In describing the judgment  Matthew 25:34 
 
 
B. APOSTLES WROTE OF ITS FUTURE. 
 
Acts 14:22; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ga 5:19-21, 1 Corinthians  15:22-26,50, 2 Timothy 4:18, 2 Peter 1:10-11 
 
 
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom that will never be destroyed! He sat down on the throne of David as both Lord and Christ - Acts 2:29-36;  Luke 1:31-33. Daniel 7:13-14;  Acts 1:9-11. David ruled over the nation of Israel. Jesus rules over all things, including His church - Ephesians 1:20-22  
 
 
How does one enter the kingdom?  
 
IV. REQUIRES OBEDIENCE 
 
 
A. OBEDIENCE TO THE WILL OF GOD AND TO THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. 
 
1. We must do the Father's will to enter the kingdom of heaven  Matthew 7:21. Obeying the gospel - Romans 10:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17, Acts 2:36-40 
 
 
V. REQUIRES REPENTANCE 
 
 
A. REPENTANCE FROM SIN. 
 
Matthew 3:1-2; 4:17; Mark 1:15, Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21  -- One must, therefore, make that decision of the mind to turn from sin and turn to God. 
 
 
B. REPENTANCE INVOLVING SACRIFICE. 
 
1. It requires commitment - Luke 9:62 
 
2. It requires endurance through trials  Acts 14:22 
 
3. It may require great personal sacrifice - Mark 9:47 
 
a. Such as leaving family, even one's wife - Luke 18:28-30; Matthew 19:12 
 
b. Such as leaving wealth  Matthew 19:23-24-- Whatever would keep you from turning to God must be left behind when one turns from sin and turns to God. 
 
 
VI. REQUIRES SANCTIFICATION 
 
 
 A. SANCTIFICATION WITH A HIGHER STANDARD. 
 
1 Peter 1:14-16; Matthew 5:20 
 
 
 B. SANCTIFICATION WITH A NOBLER CHARACTER. 2 Peter 1:4; Christ-like qualities  2 Peter 1:5-9. This will ensure an abundant entrance in the everlasting kingdom!  2 Peter 1:10-11 
 
 
THIS IS WHY YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN BECAUSE YOU CAN'T LIVE HOLY AND SANCTIFIED WITHOUT GOD'S HELP! THE NEW BIRTH GIVES YOU THAT HELP AND GETS YOU INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD!  
 
 
VII. REQUIRES A NEW BIRTH 
 
 
A BIRTH INVOLVING WATER AND THE SPIRIT. 
 
As Jesus told Nicodemus - John 3:3,5,7, John 3:5, Acts 2:38 
 
New Birth takes place in baptism and with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues - Acts 2:38. This occurs as we rise with Christ in baptism, by the working of God - Col 2:11-13 
 
 
CONCLUSION 
 
 
1. How does one enter the kingdom of God? 
 
You must submit like a child to God's will but before you can be a child of God, you must first be born again.  Acts 2:38; Acts 8:12 
 
 
2. To enter the kingdom present one must be born again. 
 
Receiving the Gift of the Spirit on God's part-- only when you receive the Holy Ghost you are placed into the kingdom of God's  Colossians 1:12-14 
 
 
3. Making your calling and election sure. 
 
a. We can't be like the world or self-righteous people our  righteousness must surpass that of the scribes and Pharisees 
 
 
b. With diligence you must grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ-- Those that do such will receive an abundant entrance into the everlasting kingdom of Jesus Christ 2 Peter 1:10

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
1. The Bible is filled with grave warnings against tampering with the Word of God  
 
   a. There is the warning given through Moses - Deuteronomy 4:2 
 
   b. There is the warning given through John -  Revelations 22:18-19 
 
 
2. Perhaps the strongest warning is that given by Paul - Galatians 1:6-10 
 
   a. Some had "perverted" (metastrepho, to turn around, turn about) the gospel of Christ 
 
   b. Like a belt that starts outright, but becomes twisted at some point 
 
   c. Such perversions were to be rejected, even if it taught by angels or apostles! 
 
 
Four biblical meaning of the word Pervert.  
 
• apostrepho   "to turn away" (apo, "from," strepho, "to turn"), is used metaphorically in the sense of "perverting" in Luke 23:14  
 
• diastrepho     "to distort, twist" (dia, "through," and strepho), is translated "to pervert" in Luke 23:2 
 
• metastrepho: this word is used 3 times:  to turn  "to transform into something of an opposite character" (meta, signifying "a change," and strepho,) as the Judaizers sought to "pervert the gospel of Christ," Gal 1:7  
 
• ek strepho    "to turn inside out" (ek, "out"), "to change entirely," is used metaphorically in Titus 3:11 
 
 
In this lesson, we shall consider this "perverted gospels" as often presented today, and note its contrast to the gospel as preached by Jesus and His apostles. 
 
 
I. THE MESSAGE OF THE PERVERTED GOSPEL 
 
 
A. THE ERROR IS IN TELLING ONE HOW TO RECEIVE CHRIST  
 
1. "We receive Christ by personal invitation, Revelations 3:20" 
 
a. It is true that Christ personally invites us to Him Matthew 11:28-30 
 
b. But  Revelations 3:20 is an invitation to wayward Christians, not alien sinners – Revelations 3:22 
 
c. Failure to note the context leads to a perversion of the gospel! 
 
2."You can receive Christ right now through prayer" 
 
a. "Then receive Him into your life by a simple act of faith. 
 
b. People are often told to pray, "Lord Jesus, I need you. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be." 
 
3. While this sounds innocent, is saying "the sinner's prayer" how we are to receive Jesus into our lives? Many pastors, evangelists, crusades, mega meetings lead sinners in these prayers. They teach that God loves them but hate the sin. This makes them feel okay to stay in their sins as long as they keep telling God about them with no intentions of showing fruits of true repentance. THESE ARE ALL LIES OF SATAN, HE KEEPS THE SINNER IN CONSTANT CONFUSION WHEN IT COMES TO GIVING UP SIN AND FOLLOWING JESUS! False teachers teach that God loves them but hate the sin. This makes them feel okay to stay in their sins as long as they keep telling God about them with no intentions of show fruits of true repentance.  
 
 
The gospel message becomes perverted at the point when a person desires to receive Christ and is told to simply say "the sinner's prayer." Jesus and His apostles never taught that.  The disciples taught the Gospel message that Jesus taught. 
 
 
II. THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST 
 
 
A. JESUS HIMSELF TAUGHT  
 
1. We believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God – John 8:24 
 
2. We must repent of our sins - Luke 13:3; Luke 24:46-47 
 
3. We must not be ashamed of Him, we must be willing to confess Him as Lord and Savior  
 
before others - Matthew 10:32-33 
 
4. We must be baptized to be saved - Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 3:5 
 
5. Unless a man is born of water and spirit he cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven.  John 3:3-5 
 
 
Jesus, therefore, taught obedience is necessary, as expressed in faith, repentance, confession of sin, receiving the Holy Ghost and baptism! 
 
 
Have you received Christ through faith and putting Him on in baptism in the name of Jesus? Have you received the gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues? Have you turned from your old life of sin and is now walking the life of the Spirit? Acts 2:38, Galatians 3:26-27

INTRODUCTION 
 
 
According to 2 Co 5:17, a great change takes place in the life of one who is a Christian. If you have put on Christ through baptism Galatians 3:27. Please do not deceive yourself like Satan deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden.  It does not matter if you are a pastor, a pastor wife, secretary, evangelist, pew warmer, it just does not matter. God means for everyone that means all to repent and come into the knowledge of who He is. Before you can be a new Creature in Christ you have to the New Birth this is what Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3-5. Jesus didn’t pull any punches; he was to the point and clear. As also in Acts 10:44 and Acts 19:5.  
 
 
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 
 
 
2. But what does this change mean? 
 
a. What position does this "new creation" hold in the eyes of God? 
 
b. What type of life is he or she to lead? 
 
c. How does this change affect his or her relationship to things pertaining to one's old way of life? 
 
 
In Paul's epistle to the Ephesians, we find the answers to such questions.  Note first of all that a Christian is described as. 
 
 
I. SITTING WITH CHRIST IN HEAVENLY PLACES  Ep 2:6 
 
 
A. OUR FORMER CONDITION. 
 
1. We were dead in sin Ep 2:1 
 
2. We were quite active, walking and following after: 
 
a. The world 
 
b. Satan 
 
c. The flesh  Ep 2:2-3 
 
 
B. OUR CURRENT CONDITION. 
 
1. Out of love, mercy and grace, we who were dead are now alive! Ep 2:4-5;  Ro 5:6-8 
 
2. Now we are blessed to be: 
 
a. Raised with Christ  Ep 2:6a; Col 2:12; 3:1 
 
b. Seated with Him in "heavenly places"  Ep 2:6 
 
3. Definition of "heavenly places" 
 
a. Lit., "the heavenlies", found only in Ephesians  Ep 1:3,20; 2:6; 3:10; 6:12, Ep 6:12, Ep 3:10Ep 1:20, Ep 2:6, Col 3:1-2 
 
 
As "A New Creation," sitting with Christ in heavenly places ought to affect the way we think.  But also, the way we behave, for as "A New Creation" we are to be. 
 
 
II. WALKING IN MANNER WORTHY OF OUR CALLING Ep 4:1 
 
 
A. THE PURPOSE OF OUR CALLING. 
 
1. To be holy and without blame  Ep 1:3-4 
 
2. To be His beloved children through adoption  Ep 1:5 
 
 
B. A WALK WORTHY OF OUR CALLING. 
 
1. Is one in which we "walk in love" Ep 5:1-2 
 
a. As beloved children, imitating their Father 
 
b. Following Christ's own example of sacrifice 
 
2. Is one in which we "walk as light"  Ep 5:3-14 
 
a. Living lives holy and without blame 
 
b. As light exposing the deeds of darkness by way of contrast 
 
3. Is one in which we "walk as wise" Ep 5:15-17 
 
a. Understanding that time is short 
 
b. Understanding the will of the Lord 
 
 
Walking in "love", as "light", as "wise", will not be without controversy in the midst of a dark, perverted world ( 2Ti 3:12). And so "A New Creation" is to be. 
 
 
III. STANDING FIRM IN BATTLE - Ep 6:13 
 
 
A. THE NATURE OF OUR BATTLE. 
 
1. We are engaged in a spiritual warfare Ep 6:12 
 
a. The battle is taking place in "heavenly places" (the spiritual realm) 
 
b. Our foe:  the very things we had previously followed. Ep 2:2-3 
 
2. Thus the need to be strong  Ep 6:10 
 
a. To be strong in the Lord 
 
b. To be strong in the power of His might 
 
 
B. THE NATURE OF OUR ARMOR... 
 
1. We are given the armor of God, which we must put on  Ep 6:11,13 
 
2. This armor is adequate for a strong offensive battle  Ep 6:14-18 
 
Praying always with all prayer and supplication. Note the lack of protection from behind; this implies that we must be committed in standing firm against the enemy, and that to retreat insures defeat! 
 
 
CONCLUSION 
 
 
1. When a person becomes "A New Creation", it affects how he or she sits, stands, and walks. 
 
a. Sitting with Christ in heavenly places 
 
b. Walking in a manner worthy of our calling 
 
c. Standing firm in battle 
 
 
2. Compare this to the wicked person who is not blessed by God as described in Ps 1:1-2. 
 
a. Walking in the counsel of the wicked 
 
b. Standing in the path of sinners 
 
c. Sitting in the seat of scoffers 
 
 
What a remarkable contrast!  Truly "old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."  Has this proved true in our lives? 
 
 
Give careful thought to how and where you are sitting, walking, and standing, if you desire to be "A New Creation" in Christ!

2. There is a spiritual seeing through and beyond natural seeing. There is a spiritual hearing through and beyond natural hearing.  
 
3. People greatly need help for their souls, it is their duty to look out for it, and to invite those among them who can help them. 
 
4. Guard your heart by keeping Christ on the throne of your life so Satan doesn’t try to sneak anything else in there.

Proselytes: to convert 
 
Proselytes in the Old Testament were all non-Jews strangers, sojourners and newcomers to Israel that was covert Judaism covenant that God established with Israel, the ONLY ONE GOD. 
 
Proselytes in the New Testament were non-Jews known as Godfearers and Worshippers of the one true God of the Law of Moses, that willingly converted from Judaism to the  Gospel and were baptized. The Gospel of the Church -Acts 2:38. (Cornelius Acts 10, Lydia Acts 16) 
 
Also, Jews that convert from Judaism to the Gospel who were baptized but no longer circumcised. The Gospel of the Church (Acts 2:38)
