Philippians 2:12-16 | This Little Light of Mine

When it comes to obedience, there is no line. 
 
Slide: Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, [it is] the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. 
 
Slide: When it comes to works: 
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone. 
As Christians, God has created good works for us to walk in…so work it out! 
 
Slide: The salvation “workout” 
Do all things without grumbling or disputing 
Hold fast (and forth) the word of life 
 
Slide: We are made to be image bearers and glory spreaders. 
 
Slide: Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 
 
Slide: Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined [to become] conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 
 
Slide: Hab 2:14 "For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea. 
 
Slide: A nice, healthy fear of God is a great motivator. 
 
Slide: Unity is serious business to God. 
 
Slide: Eph 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such [a word] as is good for edification according to the need [of the moment,] so that it will give grace to those who hear. 30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal. 
 
God invites you to become involved with Him in His work. 
 
God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways. 
 
God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action. 
 
You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing 
 
You come to know God by experience as you obey him and He accomplishes his work through you.
