The character and faithfulness of our God is woven throughout Scripture. From providing that first blood sacrifice in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3, to the story of Moses parting the Red Sea, to Daniel shutting the mouths of lions, to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego standing with yet another in the fire — the Lord provides a way for His people. Always. And after four-hundred years of silence, the Lord provided a way to save you and me from the wages of our sin through His one and only son, Jesus. He died. He rose. And He is coming back again. 
 
We quickly forget who God is and how faithful He has been! He IS the Holy King of Heaven and Earth. He is the defender of the broken and weak. He IS the Lord of all unspeakable worth. He is faithful like a father should be. He truly IS everything that He says He is!

I think we would be surprised how many people in the world today don’t know that they can be forgiven of their sins, free and clear, through faith in Jesus Christ. Not only that, but that the God of the Bible came in all His fullness to rescue us from the bondage of sin and death. That in Christ we have the victory and are set free! 
 
We’re fighting against our sin every day. We’re fighting unbelief and the lies that the world throws at us. And we felt like we needed a battle cry that reminded us of the ultimate truth for all believers – that our God has defeated sin and death. Just as David came back with the head of Goliath, our God crushed the head of the serpent as He resurrected from the grave. The victory was not only His, but our victory to share in with Him through faith in Him. He lives. And now we are again!
