Calvinists frequently cite Romans 8:7-8 in support of Total Depravity. This video shows why this verse doesn't support that concept at all, but is rather commenting on the behavior of the believer, not the inability of the conversion of the sinner.

Despite being on the correct side of the controversy, involvement in the controversy itself can prevent a person from seeing what the passage is intended to convey, irrespective of the Calvinist controversy. This video clarifies and emphasizes that intended meaning so that those involved with the Calvinist controversy don't miss the point of the passage.

So much is packed into this short narrative. The spiritual vs. the literal Kingdoms of God; the Jew to Gentile transition; the New Age Jesus; false doctrine in new "bibles," Angels; and there's even a cause to mention Oprah!

False doctrine thrives on taking scripture out of context, adding words, and subtracting words from passages. John 6:44 is a salient example of how Calvinism twists scripture to support its underlying pagan philosophy. During a lesson on Biblical interpretation, this passage was used to illustrate how failure to OBSERVE the exact words in a passage can lead to serious doctrinal error.
