·Our sin makes us guilty. We stand condemned before a holy and just God. Our sin also makes us sick. It’s like a cancer eating away at us from the inside out. It leaves us powerless. We need to be rescued from our sin, but we are too sinful to rescue ourselves. What’s the solution? 
 
The gospel is. 
 
Paul says of the good news, “It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes ... This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith” (Romans 1:16-17).

What makes the Gospel relevant?

We all try to impress and show only our best, but we know the truth about ourselves. We sin in secret. Inside we have a tornado of ungodly thoughts and selfish desires. Even our good deeds are often marred by mixed motives. The truth is that we are undeserving of love. We just don’t meet the conditions necessary to deserve for someone to love us. What’s the solution? 
As we continue our series in Romans, we unpack the answer to this question.
