The Truth About the Truth!
1 Thess. 2:1-20 – Part 2

Introduction
Generations of people come and go – lives are lived – life is short and then you die! But physical death is not the end of human existence – only the moment when “THE PLACE” of our eternal existence is sealed. It will either be in relationship with the Living God in His Millennial Kingdom and the New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem OR separated from Him forever in the Lake of Fire. This is part of the message Paul preached and taught to the Thessalonians.

Ministry: God’s Truth Boldly Delivered – 1 Thess 2:1-4

Ministry: Genuine Caring – 1Thess. 2:5-9
REVIEW – chapter 1 and 2:1-4
Vv. 5-6 – No ‘Flattery” or “Covetousness”
Vv. 7-8 – Gentleness, Caring, Concern – like that of a Mother for her baby
V. 9 – Hard work – probably tentmaking to provide financial support for himself/team

Ministry: Good Fathering – 1 Thess. 2:10-12
V. 10 – Integrity of character and behavior (devoutly, justly, blamelessly)
V. 11 – Fatherly love (exhorting, comforting and charging them)
V. 12 – to live lives that were worthy of being God’s Children – called to His Kingdom and Glory! WOW! What an amazing ROSPECT!

Ministry: God’s Word – 1 Thess. 2:13
Men’s Opposition: God’s Wrath – 1 Thess. 2:14-16
Ministry: Glory – 1 Thess. 2:17-20

Timeless Truth
Throughout his ministry the Apostle Paul conducted himself in a God-honoring fashion. So, when the campaign of lies and accusations was launched against him, he simply asked people to remember how he had behaved and conducted himself. He was even able to call God Himself as a witness to the purity of both his message and his motives.

Living Lesson
Every Christian must always keep foremost in our mind that we are servants of the Living God and it is to Him that we are accountable. But there is also deep and abiding joy in ministering His Truth to people who don’t know Him. And there are wonderful relationships that are formed with other believers who become like family and are very dear to us. And someday when Jesus returns to set up His Kingdom on earth, He will reward our faithful service to and for Him.
