Paul gives the Galatians incentives to hold fast to Jesus Christ by showing them these four benefits of the adoption that they have in Him:

* Moving from being a slave to sin to being a son of God
* Being granted the Holy Spirit
* Having a different relationship with God, in which they can call Him 'Father'
* Becoming heirs of the kingdom of God.
