Unlike the human priests of old our Apostle and High Priest, did not offer the blood of Bulls and Goats that could never take away sin. Neither does He offer sacrifices over and over again. Rather, Jesus offered himself one time and took His blood into the Holiest Place of all, the throne room of God in Heaven. There, the blood and righteousness of Christ was received by God as a complete and eternal satisfaction for the sins of all who trust in Christ for salvation. In Jesus, our never dying High Priest, we have eternal redemption. In Him, the human Priesthood has been superseded and abolished! No man stands between the believer and His God, none but the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, the Lord Jesus Christ who died and is risen! Holy Brethren, look not to the right, look not to the left, rather, consider Jesus . . .
