Central Theme: Doctrine Matters

Man has the freedom to teach anything he wants, but if it is NOT approved by God, then you will have him to deal with. You cannot make it to heaven on man's doctrine.

It is written, "And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes."

DID YOU KNOW:
* In thy Name ~ By Your Authority (see Matthew 7:21)
* Denominations like Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran, God in Christ, etc... were started by man, and can not be found in the bible.
* The church was established in A.D. 33
* In the Greek, Peter means "Petros" ~ or small rock/pebble (see Matthew 16:18)

PRACTICAL POINTS:
1) Saying vs. Doing... Don't just say you love God; do his will.
2) Build Wisely... We all have a spiritual house to build.

* 1 Corinthians 10:1-4... The rock, or sure foundation, was Christ.
* 1 Corinthians 3:10-11... Paul preached Jesus Christ as the foundation of the church.
* Acts 4:10-12... Christ is the chief corner stone (Isaiah 28:16) that was rejected (see also Matthew 16:13-18)
* 1 Timothy 6:17-19... Lay in store a good foundation against the time to come (2 Peter 3:10)
* Ephesians 2:13-20... Jesus abolished hostility and the law of commandments in his flesh
