Of all the issues that face us in this life, the ultimate and most relevant issue is one’s relationship to God. By nature we all are either saved sinners or lost sinners. There is no middle ground. Either we stand justified before God or condemned. Those who are reconciled to Him are persons saved by God’s grace through faith (in Christ) alone (Ephesians 2:8. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes unto the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)

Remember this however: A living faith is a following faith, a faith that is responsive to the will of God (James 2:26). A person in whose heart dwells an honest faith in Christ doesn’t just talk the talk, but is one who is serious about walking the walk. In other words, they are not just religious dilettantes who nibble on and dabble in the things of God, but real disciples who take up their crosses and follow after Jesus. For there is a huge difference between mere church people and God’s people. The ‘tells’ are in the feet, the hands, the mouth, and yes, even one’s tastes or appetites. So, let us all by the grace of God be diligent to verify our calling of God. (2 Peter 1:10)
