The church does not deal with things such as karma and luck…what is going to happen to you is based on God, time, circumstance, and how you act.

It is written, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

LESSON AT A GLANCE

• We will not make a fool of God no matter how you act, or what you do.

• Be mindful of deceit. We are all Sowers.

• What we sow and how we sow are critical to our soul salvation.

• Sowing and Reaping by Teaching… Luke 8

○ (v. 5) The Sower went out to plant a seed. Different actions occur when we sow.

○ (v. 11) The seed is the word of God!

○ (v. 15) The seed requires good ground to take root.

○ The Word ONLY produces Christians ONLY

○ You can hear the word of God, but it does not make you a Christian (see Acts 26:28)

○ Denominational error produces after its kind. There are no hyphenated Christians (see Matthew 15:7-9; Galatians 1:6-9; Revelation 22:18)

○ One cannot believe and obey error and be in the truth!

○ A seed produces after its own kind (see Genesis 1:11-12)

• Sowing and Reaping by Giving... 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

○ Pray for faith and wisdom instead of stuff. Our lives does not consist of our possessions.

○ Giving consists of what you do, and how you do it. Give what you can, and give it cheerfully.

○ The principle of the gospel of health and wealth is false.

○ Sowing MONEY does not reap miracles, financial gain, or assure successful relationships.

○ The work of the Lord's church is about giving our whole self to the Lord--time, ability, service, prayer, and labor, not just money (see Matthew 25:14-40; 1 Corinthians 15:58)

○ It is more blessed to give than to receive... (see Acts 20:35)

• Sowing and Reaping by Living

○ How do we sow to the flesh? By yielding to sin (see Galatians 5:19-21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Job 4:8; Proverbs 6:12-19; 22:8)

○ You may never get caught in this life, but there is a reckoning coming!

○ May the church get in the habit of dealing with issues in a godly way.

○ How do we sow to the Spirit? By obeying the revelation of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22,23; Proverbs 11:18; James 3:18; Psalm 126:5)

○ We can't be spiritual cowards. There is a sure reward for those who soweth righteousness.
