Keep hope in front of you. It is the anchor of our soul. The word of God is good for your soul.

It is written in Hebrews 6:18-19, "That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;"

DID YOU KNOW:
* Immutable is defined as "unchangeable"
* The Greek word for Hope is "elpis" = to anticipate with pleasure; expectation; confidence
* The Greek word for Anchor is "agkura" = an ARM (a "curved" arm that shows the strength of God)
* The Greek word for Soul is "psuche" = Breath, Life; "immortal" soul
* Assurance is defined as "confidence" (see Hebrews 6:11)
* "Strait betwixt two" means to be torn (see Philippians 1:22)

KEY PRACTICAL POINTS:

I.) PLAN, or your intention

* In John 14:1-3, Jesus reveals his plan to prepare a place for his disciples in heaven, and to ultimately return again to take his disciples back home.

* In Philippians 1:23-24, Paul expresses his desire to depart and be with the Lord, but nevertheless realizes it is needful for him to encourage the brethren.

* Peter reminds the saints that by Jesus we believe in God, that he raised Jesus up from the dead; our faith and hope should remain in God.... 1 Peter 1:3,21

* 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Hebrews 9:27-28

II.) PASSION, or the strong motivation to live right and do right

* Hope of Eternal Life is the anchor that allows us to live faithfully and godly... Titus 1:1-3

* Tighten Up Your Mind; Our passion should be to look like Christ, sound like him, be like him... 1 Peter 1:13-16

III.) Position, or where YOU are.

* According to 1 John 3:2-3, we are the sons of God, and are in position to see God for eternity.

* In Romans 5:1-8, the plan of God... While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!

* Hope in Christ should exceed this life. Abound in the work of the Lord... 1 Corinthians 15:19,58
