1 Corinthians 16

V. 15-18, Respect and recognize those working for Jesus

You know how in life there are somethings that should just go without saying. In verses 15-18 Paul mentions something that he probably should not have to mention, honoring and respecting those in ministry. He wanted to make sure the Corinthians knew that when Stephans and Fortunatus came to them that where to acknowledge them for the service to Jesus. It is probably something that I don’t need to say now but I am going to anyway, we need show those in ministry more respect in the modern church.

We don’t do enough to honor and respect those who have committed their life to serving Jesus Christ in the form of ministry. Our society has begun to view ministry positions just like they do any other occupation instead of what they are, a calling. These individuals have been called of God to serve others in love and humility and for this they deserve our respect and honor.
