The music for this verse was composed by my daughter when she was 10 years old. I encouraged her to help me to put in a tune for this verse, to be taught during Children Church on Sunday. I am truly thankful to God for giving her the boldness in composing a music for the very first time.
It may not be the best sounding tune nor technically correct to the ears of trained musician, but to me, it was music to my ears. I believed that it has also delighted God. The most important thing is that God’s Words are kept intact…… nothing added or subtracted. (Deuteronomy 4:2)
The music is composed just to help us remember His Word….. it does not really matter if it is nice or not….. What really matter is that it helps one to remember and not to forget the effort put in….. more so when it comes from a little child. This truly is worth listening and praising God for. He made it happened.
Personally, I think that as parents or even teachers, we should try our best to encourage a child rather than discourage them. We need to give a child space to make errors for learning, time to reflect and internalise, courage to believe in God, every opportunity available for God to intervene in their lives as they grow to be more like Him and be fully dependent on Him as they grow to be independent in life.
Our responsibility is to plant and water the seed…… God will make it grow. (1 Corinthians 3:6)
I’m so touched by what God has done and can do for my little girl. Not only did He inspired her to put in music to His Word, He also gave her the courage to help me play the music on the piano when she was about twelve. God has indeed blessed me with the best helper who is always there for me and together we serve Him with gladness.
Our God is an Amazing God. (Jeremiah 29:11)
All Glory & Praise be to Him.
