Morning Verses With Mike
I'm doing daily Bible verse readings to share, grow, and impact others for good!

1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT)
'6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.'

We often spend SO much time preparing, that we miss what is happening in front of us. The Bible reminds us to quit struggling so hard to make it happen, and trust God to exalt us at the right time and place as He sees fit. He's a good Father who loves us; let Him be in charge of bringing us glory. Stay true, stay constant, but ultimately and mostly, trust in God’s wisdom.

It’s also a reminder to stay humble. Sometimes, we must bruise our own egos in the eyes of others... God already knows. Because we are prideful, we try to work everything out ourselves, not showing fear, or whatever we may view as “weakness.” This verse wraps up for me in speaking to me the saying, “let go and let God.” When you have the struggle, the grind, and everything coming at you at 100 mph - just take a deep breath and let go. Trust infinitely in God.
