God teaches us through Solomon that wisdom from men is worthless when it comes to our eternal soul. The only wisdom that does our soul any good is from God and His Word. We learn that God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who are good in His sight, but He gives travail to the sinner. We also learn that there is a time for every purpose, and that there is nothing new under the sun. Like it says in 1 Corinthians 10:11, the history of the Old Testament gives us the prophecy of even how things will happen in the future. We are taught how to act when working for others, and when you have others working for you. A man should rejoice in his own works.
