Seeing Jesus tell his disciples who would provide them a room in which to observe passover, we consider

*That Jesus is the lord of history, in sovereign control of everything that has taken and will take place, and
*How believers should respond to this in the good things and the less pleasant things that God sends into our lives

We also see the hopeless state of unbelievers, who only have a fearful expectation of judgment if they will not repent and trust Jesus to save them.
