Song # 1412.1 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In Romans chapter 3 we read that no-one is righteous in God’s eyes, and that the whole world will be accountable to God. Although this letter was written some 2000 years ago, its message is still very relevant to us today.
There is no-one righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10). There is no-one who understands, no-one who seeks God (Romans 3:11). All have turned away, they have together become worthless, there is no-one who does good, not even one (Romans 3:12). Their throats are open graves, their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips (Romans 3:13). Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness (Romans 3:14). Their feet are swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15), ruin and misery mark their ways (Romans 3:16), and the way of peace they do not know (Romans 3:17). There is no fear of God before heir eyes (Romans 3:18). Now we know the whole world will be accountable to God (Romans 3:19). Therefore no-one will be declared righteous (Romans 3:20).
Thought for today: final justice is in the hands of a just God.
Thought for the future: Jesus will return, will He be your Saviour? Or your Judge? Where will you spend your eternity?
