Song # 1462.1 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In the Book of Isaiah in chapter 10 we read that disaster will come to those who make unjust laws and deprive the poor and needy.
Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees (Isaiah 10:1), to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless (Isaiah 10:2). What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? (Isaiah 10:3). Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives, or fall among the slain (Isaiah 10:4).
Thought for today: the measure of a man is not by his height, but by his heart.
Thought for the future: when confronting difficulty, put your trust in God. Where will you spend your eternity?
