Song # 1499.1 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In the Book of Isaiah in chapter 43 we read that the Lord is our Holy One.
I am your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 43:14). I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King (Isaiah 43:15). This is what the Lord says, He who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters (Isaiah 43:16), who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick (Isaiah 43:17). Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past (Isaiah 43:18). See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you perceive it? I am making a new way in the desert and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19). The wild animals honour me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen (Isaiah 43:20), the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise (Isaiah 43:21).
Thought for today: our living God can take the fear out of our living.
Thought for the future: the richest people in the world are those who invest in heaven. Where will you spend your eternity.
