Song # 1965.1 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In the Book of Acts we read in chapter 16 that Paul and Silas travelled to Lystra where they met an Apostle called Timothy who then joined them on their journey.
Paul and Silas travelled to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived. Timothy’s mother was a Jewess and a believer, and his father was a Greek (Acts 16:1). The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of Timothy (Acts 16:2). Paul wanted to take Timothy along on the journey with him (Acts 16:3). As they travelled from town to town, they delivered the decisions reached by the Apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey (Acts 16:4). So the Churches were strengthened in faith and grew daily in numbers (Acts 16:5).
Thought for today: you have all you need in life when you have God in your life.
Thought for the future: man does not live on bread alone, but on the word that comes from God. Where will you spend your eternity?
