Song # 1973.1 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In the Book of Acts we read in chapter 18 that Paul left Corinth after some time and sailed to Syria accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila.
Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila (Acts 18:18). They arrived at Ephesus, where Paul left Priscilla and Aquila. He himself went into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews (Acts 18:19). When they asked him to spend more time with them, he declined (Acts 18:20). But as he left, he promised “I will come back if it is God’s will.” Then he set sail from Ephesus (Acts 18:21). When Paul landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the Church and then went down to Antioch (Acts 18:22). After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set out from there and travelled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples (Acts 18:23).
Thought for today: a gentle word of encouragement can carry great weight.
Thought for the future: we can please our God through following His ways and praising Him. Where will you spend your eternity?
