As followers of Jesus, we are instructed by God to engage in the various facets of Christian living. One of
these areas is “ministry” to others. Ministry literally means to attend to the needs of another. But what is
the purpose of ministry within the context of a Jesus-following life? In 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, the Apostle
Paul reveals that the purpose of Christian ministry is to point people to the worship of Jesus and to
present them a vision of a reconciled relationship with God in Christ.
