As followers of Christ we must be mindful of our responsibility to be a godly example in our culture.  This starts with understanding how to pursue godliness.  The passage, 1 Timothy 4: 7-16, identifies seven distinct principles to help us reach this goal.

“Where Qualities are Job One”
1. Have nothing to do with ungodliness (v. 6) 
2. Godliness requires training (v. 7b)
3. Command and teach these things (v. 11) 
4. Identify and overcome your weakness (v. 12a)
5. Display your godliness (v. 12b)
6. Specialize (v. 14)
7. Paul’s final charge (vs.15-16)
