It's comforting to know that there is no difference between the greatest of the saints and the least of the saints when it comes to the One who meets our needs. That’s right – no difference. The Apostle Paul himself is no better off – and no worse off – than you or I. Same God. My God. Your God. Our God. One God. The most obscure and timid Christian on earth has exactly the same God as the most heroic believer (like Paul) called to evangelize the nations. Your God is Paul’s God. Paul’s God is your God. Paul’s God supplied all of his needs and Paul’s God is your God who will also supply all of your needs.

The pages of Scripture are filled with stories of men and women who were in serious trouble with serious needs – and they were helped. The God of Elijah ensured that his prophet was fed by ravens … and the God of Elijah is well able to command the chickadees, hummingbirds and stellar jays in my back yard to feed me if it so pleases Him! Our God is the God of the prophets, the apostles and all the saints who’ve gone before us. This is our God forever and ever! He will guide us even unto the end. (Psalm 48:14)

Are you trusting Him with your needs? Are you resting on Him for your needs? His capacity is infinite. His wisdom is unlimited. His power is omnipotent. He never sleeps. He’s never absent. He’s always ready to help.

Some say, “Yes I know that! And if only I was living in those miraculous times – Bible times – then I could’ve trusted Him and seen amazing things, too! Floating ax heads! Five thousand fed with a few fish and bread! Laws of nature set aside!” True, but we live in even better times than that! We have PRAYER! We have the HOLY SPIRIT! We have the COMPLETE CANON OF SCRIPTURE! By these, our God fulfills His promises, supplies our needs and provides everything necessary for this life and godliness.
