Song # 2134 from Our Gospel In Song Collection by Col Johnston. In Psalm 106 we read of the wicked deeds by the people that angered the Lord.
The Lord swore to the people with uplifted hand that He would make them fall in the desert (Psalm 106:26). He would make their descendants fall among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands (Psalm 106:27). They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods (Psalm 106:28). They provoked the Lord to anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them (Psalm 106:29). But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked (Psalm 106:30). This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come (Psalm 106:31). By the waters of Meribah they angered the Lord, and trouble came to Moses because of them (Psalm 106:32).
Thought for today: trust in God today and prepare for your tomorrow.
Thought for the future: face your sins, repent and put them behind you. Where will you spend your eternity?
