1. If Marriage Wouldn’t Be Good for You Because of Your Maturity Level

Certainly not every single person is less mature than every married person. However, in some cases (not all), God is keeping people single to spare them of pain that they would cause themselves because they are not prepared to handle marriage yet.

2. If You Are Being Biblically Proactive in Your Search for a Spouse But You Are Still Unmarried

Sometimes your own passivity is keeping you single. However, if you are being biblically proactive in receiving a good thing from the Lord, like marriage, it is much easier to say that God is probably keeping you single at this time because through your proactive steps you have eliminated many other possibilities.

3. God May Be Keeping You Single If You Are Actively Rebelling Against Him

Unwanted singleness is certainly not always because of your own sin. But in love, God does sometimes withhold certain blessings as a way of encouraging us to repent.
