1. The things we fear and the things we trust.
Proverbs 22:3
The prudent person sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it.
2. King Asa’s Trust in the Lord
2 Chronicles 14:9-11
Asa cried to the LORD his God, “O LORD, there is none like you to help. . . Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude.

3. Trust not the size of the army or the high-tech weapons of war.

5. Saul and the six hundred men

8. Saul and his men join the battle.

9. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD
Jeremiah 17:5-10
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
He is like a tree planted by water,
Conclusions:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths. Prov. 3:5-6
Do not yield to the temptation to rely on your own wisdom, strength or the strength and power of other people.
Do not put your faith in technology and armies
Conclusions:
When troubles come remember God is always the one who gives you salvation.
Wait on him and trust him for all things.
Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
He can save by many or by few as he pleases.
He is searching the earth over for any whose heart is blameless who trust him fully.
