In our Gospel lesson that the Holy Spirit moved St. Matthew to record, we are going to study Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness at the hands of the devil. And what we will learn today is that this temptation had to occur, at this very time, and that it was God’s own will, that this mighty battle between His Son Jesus, and the devil, should be fought.
