SERMON NOTES
EXODUS 12:1-17 ---there’s nothing too big for the LAMB to take care of--- THE LAMB is more THAN ENOUGH… the plagues had ended--- PUT THE BLOOD OVER YOUR HOUSE---PLEAD THE BLOOD---SHARE THE LAMB with your NEIGHBORS---THE PASSOVER — the blood- doorposts — if a death angel can’t cross over the bloodline - than the devil for sure can’t!! The blood!!! The blood was above you, above your door post never below u- never the thresh floor — never to be trampled on — the blood is sacred - the most powerful prayer you can pray is LORD I PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS!!! Plead the blood!!! ????--Don’t water down the lamb— cook it on an open fire //// Matthew 21:1-21/// John 1:29 ---- BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD… who takes away the sins of the world… // JOHN 10:11-15 --the good shepherd, lay life down// ---LUKE 15:4-7 – the shepherd finds the lost sheep /// PSALM 23:1-6---THE LAMB---
HOLY WEEK
SUNDAY---palm Sunday--- LUKE 19:28-40 --- riding on a donkey-- GOD uses ANYONE and ANYTHING
MONDAY---Mark 11:12-17—THE FIG TREE--- FOCUS on FRUIT--- where’s the fruit ––JESUS doesn’t just want us to focus on the surface level, but the heart—the real life change--- the TEMPLE had GOTTEN OUT OF ORDER-
TUESDAY
Some of the events of that day:- On the way into the city, Jesus sees the withered fig tree He had cursed, and uses it to teach on the power of faith- Jesus tells several parables to condemn the religious elite and to explain the Kingdom of God - Jesus delivers the “woes” to the religious leaders - Jesus talks with His disciples on the Mount of Olives about the end times
WEDNESDAY
Some of the events of that day:- Jesus continues teaching - The Sanhedrin scheme about how to kill Jesus - Judas makes an agreement to betray Jesus to the Sadducees for gold\ “...the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. They were delighted and agreed to give him money. He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present” (Luke 22:2-6). --- BLOOD MONEY --- 30 pieces of silver--- what are you betraying Jesus for --- 30 minutes of pleasure--- 30 pieces of silver--- sins---
