A Rhyme of Gratitude, based on Psalm 23:5 & John 15:5
1. My cup overflows with blessings
Psalm 23:5 New Living Translation.
2. I am the vine, you are the branches:
He that abides in me, and I in him,
the same brings forth much fruit:
for without me you can do nothing
John 15:5.
3. I little knew, how Love would sow His seed so true.
I could not know, ‘til blossomed hue did burst and show.
As one, we two entwined did grow.
4. Those years seem few, as they do flow
towards the blue of Heaven’s glow.
Though sun scorched, You helped me to know
how vine, like glue, holds branch ‘gainst foe.
5. Love did pursue, would not let go
for to renew, life to bestow.
My thanks are due.
A debt I owe, my GOD to You who loved me so.
6. As I review, from head to toe,
and say adieu (my past let go),
I gaze into a new “Hello”:
My follow-through – My apropos.
7. When I (in lieu of foresight’s throw)
hold tightly to what I do know,
and daily woo our friendship so,
it brings to view a vineyard row;
now dripping dew, now rain, now snow.
8. You did imbue these grapes of woe,
with hope anew and joy aglow.
Juice did accrue,
till harvest show of wine - pressed new - did overflow.
9. My cup is full and spilling over
Psalm 23:5 (ERV) Easy-to-Read Version.
10. You fill my cup to the brim
Psalm 23:5 (GNT) Good News Translation.
11. You fill my cup to overflowing
Psalm 23:5 (EXB) Expanded Bible.
12. My cup runneth over
Psalm 23:5 King James Version.
13. My cup overflows with blessings
Psalm 23:5 New Living Translation.
14. You fill my cup again and again with Your grace.
Psalm 23:5 (VOICE) The Voice.
