One sign God will use to warn you about a bad relationship is by telling you the same thing in multiple ways.

For example, perhaps the sermon that Sunday highlighted some biblical concerns about this person’s character. And on then on the way a home, a Christian song makes you remember what the sermon said. And then when you get home and talk to your roommate, they share a concern with you about this person that again confirms what the sermon and the song brought to your mind.

A coincidence here and there should be expected now and then. But if God is warning you in multiple ways not to date this person, don’t ignore him.

As Proverbs 15:22 states, “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”
