Acts 20:35 (NLT)
"And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

The first part of the verse is to live by constant instruction to others. Even more than just telling people, showing people through your actions and examples. Secondly then, the verse closes that even Jesus said, "it is better to give than to receive." This is not only in measurable gifts but in things like listening, caring and time. And to realize that the act and ability to give in the first place is part of the gift in itself. Meaning when you are ABLE to provide to someone else, when you have the abundance of any of these things to give… YOU SHOULD… that is part of the blessing!
