In the second chapter Isaiah warns of the Day of the Lord in which He is going to deal with the idolatry and pride of Israel. Pride caused them to be blind to their sin and foolishness. They forgot their place as the called out people of God and began bowing down to figures of their own creation. We are warned throughout the scriptures of the dangers of sinful pride. We have nothing to boast of and only Jesus is worthy of exaltation.
