All Things New – Ephesians 1:1-14 Being In Christ
The good news of the gospel compels us to BE good news to our world!
1. What is the difference between theory and practice? Is it more than knowledge and living it out? What is needed for you to take a good idea/theory and put it into life practice?
2. Consider the difference between identity and activity? Which comes first for you? Are you more who you are or what you do?
3. What parts of your identity are secure, and which parts are not? How does this affect your activity (i.e., at work, at play, at home)?
4. Want parts of your identity are grounded in Jesus? How can you tell? Can others tell?
5. What was some good news you heard this week that was more than information or advice? How did this good news influence you?
6. Even bad news can be turned around with a good dose of hope. How hopeful are you? Where does your hope come from? How much hope do you have in the future and in what God is up to around you?
7. What are some real and practical ways that you could offer hope to people when they need it- not platitudes or empty well-wishes, but real things you could say or do? Rehearse some with your group.
8. How could your group help you with hope? What are some real things in your life that don’t seem like good news?
